While other brands are selling smartphones with no charger, TP case, and headphones, Tecno is still including them in the box, and they’re even giving you mobile data as well. In my region, the Tecno Spark 10 Pro comes in two colors, pearl white, which is the one I have here, and starry black.

Design & Build Quality

Most budget smartphones around the price point of the Tecno Spark 10 Pro come with a plastic body. Not this smartphone, the back is made from glass. It feels premium, it looks good, and it does a very good job of hiding fingerprints. For the external features, on the left side, it has a dual SIM card tray and a memory card slot. At the top, there’s nothing.

On the right side is where the volume and power buttons are located. The power button also acts as the fingerprint scanner, and as you can see, the unlock speed is fast. This smartphone also has a face unlock feature.

Now moving to the bottom, it has a 3.5 mm audio jack, a mic, a USB type-C port, and a mono speaker that sounds okay.

Camera specs

The Tecno Spark 10 Pro comes with one main camera, which is the 50-megapixel primary camera. The other two cameras, that’s the two-megapixel depth camera and the AI camera, are just there to add to the numbers. Now moving to the front, it has a 32-megapixel front-facing camera with an LED flashlight that can be adjusted.

Display Type, Size & Refresh Rate

The display of the Tecno Spark 10 Pro is actually not bad. It comes with a 6.8-inch 1080p IPS panel with a refresh rate of 90 Hertz, making scrolling and using this smartphone very smooth. The colors produced by the display are decent.

It’s an IPS LCD panel, so it’s not going to be vibrant and colorful, but it’s not bad at all. Watching videos on the 6.8-inch display is nice, the viewing angles are great. If you’re the type that usually uses your smartphone outdoors under direct light, it’s going to be a little bit hard to see the screen of this smartphone, as the peak brightness is at 580 nits.

Considering the price of this smartphone, I have no complaints about the display. But what about the performance?

Processor, Performance & Benchmark Scores

The Tecno Spark 10 Pro comes with a MediaTek Helio G8 processor. It’s a 12-nanometer chipset. With the G88 processor, you get fast upload time and sustained performance while playing games. Taking a look at the Antutu score, it scores around 250k, which isn’t bad. On Geekbench, it has a single-core score of 423 and a multi-core score of 1296. I know what you’re thinking, what do these numbers mean? Well, they show how powerful the processor is.

Gaming

For gaming, the Tecno Spark 10 Pro does well for a budget smartphone at this price point. I hope they run well on it. They play the game on HD graphics and a high frame rate. The 6.8-inch display made using the on-screen control easy to use. Now moving Call of Duty, runs the game on medium graphics and high frame rates. The gameplay was smooth. It ran well, and the smartphone did not overheat.

The engine impact a 20-gigabyte game, also one of the most demanding games on mobile. The Tecno Spark Time Pro played the game on the lowest Graphics settings, which is fine. Now, as a gaming device, the Tecno Spark 10 Pro does a fantastic job. The only negative I can say is that it doesn’t come with dual stereo speakers, but at this price point, I honestly can’t complain about that.

RAM & Multitasking

one of the highlighted features of this smartphone is the 8GB of RAM that it comes with, and with that amount of RAM, multitasking is going to be fluid on this smartphone. Now, if that isn’t enough for you, you have the option to increase the RAM to 16GB of RAM. I wouldn’t recommend you turn on the virtual RAM because 8 gigabytes of RAM is more than enough for multitasking.

Software & UI

For the operating system, the Tecno Spark 10 Pro is running the latest Android OS, that’s Android 13, and there’s no official word from Techno regarding future software updates. The custom skin on this smartphone is HiOS version 12.6, and it has some unique features like Peak proof, which you can use to hide a portion of your screen.

Conclusion

You can auto-record phone calls with this smartphone. It has custom gestures like the ability to answer some phone calls with a gesture or answer a phone call by just placing the phone next to you. Yeah, iOS 12.6 is actually cool.
