Design

For design, the Hot 12i is made from plastic which is expected of an entry level device. On the right, you find the volume and power button. On the left, you find the SIM and memory card slot. On the bottom, you find the mono speaker, a 3.5mm jack, and a micro USB port. At the back of the device, you find the fingerprint scanner.

Display

With a super bright 6.6-inch LCD display, which refreshes at 60Hz. Watching YouTube and Netflix on this device is actually cool. I don’t think you will be expecting more than this at this price point.

Processor, RAM, Storage & Software

This device comes with the Mediatek Helio A22 processor, which is actually okay for gaming. Also, with memory fusion, you can expand your RAM from 3GB to 6GB.

Gaming on this device is smooth, but as you’d expect, the graphics are on a low frame rate, but it’s not really noticeable unless you’re a hardcore gamer. As for device temperature while gaming, the Hot 12i heated up a little after I gamed for 20 minutes.

Sadly, the Hot 12i comes with Android 11, and it looks a little dull. I really expected Infinix to put Android 12 on this device.

Verdict

As For the design, I think they did a good job. I think it’s quite firm and sleek, even if it’s plastic. infinix also did a very good job when it comes to the camera of this device.

I’m a little bit disappointed with interface of the infinix Hot 12i and the screen brightness. I actually expected more from them. If you’re outside, it’s practically useless.

You have to put the brightness at the highest and still, you won’t get to see what’s on the screen. Aside the issues I listed above, the Infinix Hot 12i is an impressive device and I’m going to rate this device 7 out of 10.
