Infinix Hot 20i Price In Nigeria & Specifications
The Infinix Hot 20i came with a big change in its name compared to the previous one, which was the Infinix Hot 12. Instead of going from Hot 12 to Hot 13, Infinix decided to make a bigger jump in the numbering.
One of the reasons I love this device is because of the affordable price, irrespective of the fact that it has so many features that would have increased the price tag.

Design & Build Quality
The Infinix Hot 20i is built from plastic material, which is common for budget devices. Despite being affordable, it has a nice and compact feel. It’s not too large or uncomfortable to hold. Many budget phones are made from plastic because it’s durable, and the Hot 20i is no different in this aspect.
On to the right side of the phone, there’s the power button and the volume rocker keys. On the left side, there’s a tray where you can insert two nano SIM cards and a Micro SD card.
At the bottom, you’ll find a headphone jack, a microphone, a USB charging port, and a speaker grille.
At the back of the Infinix Hot 20i, you will see a triple camera setup. It includes a 13-megapixel main sensor, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a QVGA camera for detecting low light conditions.
Honestly, the additional two sensors don’t play a huge role. What truly matters is the 30-megapixel main sensor.
Display
The Hot 20i features a big 6.6-inch IPS LCD display. Nowadays, it’s rare to find a 1080p display at this price.
The resolution is 720p by 1612, and it has a pixel density of 267. The screen is bright and has good contrast. Watching YouTube videos looks fine, especially considering the price.
However, one drawback is that the brightness isn’t very high, less than 500 nits. This means it might be hard to see in direct sunlight, which could be a concern for some people. Considering the price, the display is decent, even though it’s not the best.
Processor & Gaming
The Infinix Hot 20i comes with the MediaTek Helio G25 octa-core processor. This processor is decent for basic tasks and works fine for everyday activities. While it doesn’t have very high scores in performance tests, it’s good enough for regular use.
If you’re mostly interested in gaming, this device might not be the best choice. But it can handle 2D games like Subway Surfers and Temple Run.
Sotware & UI
The Hot 20i comes with Android 12, running on XOS 10.6. Infinix promised software update up till android 15. It comes with bloatwares as expected at this price point, but luckily you can uninstall all them for a much better experince.
Camera
The Hot 20i takes decent-looking images, especially when the lighting condition is good. Image-taking on a sunny day appears bright with nice colors, and dynamic range is okay for a device in its class. It has details, and I love how saturated most of the images appear.
This is not a phone you want to buy if the camera is your main concern. Portrait shots look good as well, but not the best that I’ve seen from a mid-range or an entry-level device. The selfie camera is also decent, but dynamic range suffers a little bit with blown-up backgrounds. However, I like how the 8-megapixel camera still manages to retain some details, and I also like the color reproduction.
Battery Life & Charging
One of the reasons you should consider this device has to be the 5000mAh battery that is very reliable and decent. It can comfortably last the entire day if you’re an average user.
The 10-watt charger that comes with it took more than 3 hours to charge this device from 0-100%. I guess most people buying this device do not care that much about charging time, so if you fall within that category of people, this might be the perfect device for you.
Conclusion
The Hot 20i is a budget device that can handle most basic tasks efficiently, and I highly recommend it. If found this post helpful, don’t forget to share it on Social. Also, let me know what you think about this device in the comment section.
