Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 Price In Nigeria & Specifications
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 has been one of the best, if not the best foldables out there for a very long time.
I said the best because while there has been little competition for Samsung in the foldable category, none has really managed to offer the software features, build quality, and global availability Samsung offers.
It’s one of those devices that offers great value for money, so the price shouldn’t be a problem.

Design & Build Quality
On build quality, you still get the IPX8 protection against water, which is really solid. There’s a soft matte finish and glossy frame, and the back panels are made of sturdier Gorilla Glass Victus.
Plus, the armor aluminum hinge has seen a bit of a redesign and is slimmed down a bit. It still functions the same way. But It’s now quite supportive and can hold the phone open to almost any angle while folded.
Display
The display on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 is a 7.6 inches Foldable Dynamic AMOLED panel with thinner bezels and a different aspect ratio from its predecessor. This means that it’s a bit shorter and not quite as narrow as the Z-Fold 3 and is more comfortable to use.
When you unfold the Z-Fold 4, you’ll find a 7.6-inch inner AMOLED screen that’s similar to a small tablet with a 5 by 6 aspect ratio.
It has a pixel density of 401 PPI and a fast 120Hz refresh rate too. There is still a crease where the screen folds over, and depending on the angle, it can be quite noticeable.
The high refresh rate smooths out movements on the screen and is very adaptive. It can go down to a different refresh rates depending on what you are doing on the device.
The lowest I saw it go down to was around 24 hertz, but the UI frame rate will readily go down to 1fps for static content. The Z-Fold 4’s display is sharp and contrasty, and the large size gives you a much different experience than your typical smartphone.
Colors are very accurate, and you have options to Change them in settings, and you get support for HDR10+ as well. The brightness of the screen is impressive, You can get up to 800 nits with the manual slider with the extra brightness toggle on, and this can boost over a thousand nits in auto mode when you are using it in the sun.
Stylus, Audio & Fingerprint Scanner
The Samsung Galxy Z-Fold 4 comes with a stylus support, but it requires a specific kind from Samsung with a tip that won’t scratch the display.
For audio, the Z-Fold 4 has a pair of stereo speakers, one at the top and the other at the bottom. The Loudness is a good with nice vocals and treble and some bass but no actually the best out there.
The Biometric is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner built into the power button, it unlocks the phone very fast and is very reliable.
Storage, RAM, Software & UI
The Samsung Galxy Z-Fold 4 comes in 3 variants: 256GB, 512GB, and the 1TB variant all sporting a 12GB RAM.
The 1TB variant is not available in Nigeria, but you can order it online from Amazon or Aliexpress. The RAM is large and handles your Multitasking very well, so you don’t need to worry about your phone lagging when you open too many apps.
The interface of the Z-Fold 4 is One UI 4.1.1 based on Android 12. It’s the same feature-packed UI you will see on other Samsung flagships.
Battery Life & Charging
The Z-Fold 4 comes with a 4,400mAh battery just like its predecessor with a 25W charging that can take this device from 0-50% in just 1hr. It also comes with a 15W wireless charging and 4.5W reverse wireless charging which can be useful in charging your airpods and some other micro gadgets that requires charging.
Camera & Video Recording
one of the major upgrade you will see on the Z-Fold 4 is the cameras. The new setup includes a 50-megapixel main camera and a 10-megapixel three-times telephoto zoom, which are similar to what you would get on the Samsung Galaxy S22.
The 12-megapixel ultra-wide, though, is the same as on the Z Fold 3. One other difference from the S22 setup is that the main camera has a different sensor, so you get dual-pixel autofocus instead of the more advanced dual-pixel pro. You can record 8K Videos at 24 fps, but the more useful and less storage-demanding resolution is 4K.
Verdict
The only issue I have with this device is the price. I can’t actually say it’s overpriced, but in my opinion the price is on the high side.
Samsung makes the best Foldable phones out there, but that is not enough reasons to justify the price of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4. Let me know what you think about the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 in the comment section.
