Unboxing Experience
On opening the main box, you will see another small white box housing the nice matte-textured jelly case with a gray colour, along with some paperwork, as well as the SIM ejector tool. Under the small white box, you will see the Oppo Reno 10 Pro+ Plus, a USB Type-C to USB-A cable, and a Power brick (Charger Head).
Design & Build
The Oppo Reno 10 Pro+ Plus comes in 3 colours which you can choose from, Silvery Grey, Glossy Purple, and Gold.
At the back, you get a triple rear camera along with a dual LED flash, while at the front, we have a 3D curved Avalon display with a selfie camera at the center.
The volume rocker and the sleep/wake button are located on the right side while the main microphone, USB Type-C, and the speaker grilles are below.
One thing I like about this device is how the buttons are positioned higher up on the frame, but it might pose a little bit challenge for people with small hands.
Display
The Display is a 6.74 inches curved AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and 1240 x 2772 resolution. It is very good for watching YouTube videos and other media content. one other thing I like about the display is the smooth scrolling you get from it, thanks to the high refresh rate on it.
Camera & Video Recording
Just like I said earlier, the Oppo Reno 10 Pro+ Plus comes with a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel wide sensor, which is a Sony IMX 890, the same one found in the Oppo Find X6 Pro. The second camera has a 64-megapixel telephoto lens, and lastly, an ultra-wide 8-megapixel sensor.
For selfies, we have a 32-megapixel selfie shooter. Among all the lenses, I fell in love with the telephoto lens, as it’s able to capture the subject in detail from a far distance.
Another thing to point out is the Pro Portrait mode which is able to retouch and filter your subjects before taking the photo. This lets you just take the shot and then post it immediately on social media.
You can shoot 4K videos with the main camera at 30/60fps, and also 1080p videos at 30/60/120/240/480fps. You can only record 1080p@30 fps using the selfie camera.
Software, Charging, Fingerprint & Face ID
the Oppo Reno 10 Pro Plus runs on Android 13 with Color OS 13.1, and the battery supports 100-watt Super Rook charging. This Super Rook charging is one of the well-developed charging technologies in smartphones right now.
This device has both an in-display fingerprint scanner as well as facial recognition. But I will advise you to use the Fingerprint scanner because it is more secure.
Processor, Battery Life
This device sports the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, which is a 4nm chipset and it also comes with the Adreno 730 Graphics processing unit. the Chipset is very efficient, so you will be expecting good battery life.
The battery is a 4700mAh Li-PO battery which can last you the whole day or more depending on your usage.
Verdict
In my opinion, I think the Oppo Reno 10 Pro+ Plus is a very solid device. it ticked all the boxes in my priority list in a smartphone. The Curved AMOLED display with a high refresh rate is very good in scrolling and the camera is also good.
