Design & Build Quality
The S21 Ultra is a bit heavy, but it’s not too difficult to handle. I like the smooth, non-shiny finish on the back, which feels really nice to hold and makes it less obvious when it gets smudges and fingerprints.
One of the standout design features of the S21 Ultra is the metal bump around the camera that goes along the edge and merges into the frame. This makes the impressive quad-camera setup even more noticeable, but we’ll talk more about that later.
Display
The S21 Ultra has a 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED screen with a punch hole cutout for the selfie cam. Besides its curvature, it stands out by offering a high QHD resolution together with a fast 120Hz refresh rate.
Last year’s S20 series phones would end up dialing down from QHD to 1080p if you enabled 120 hertz. The refresh rate here is adaptive to your content.
When you’re touching the screen or scrolling, you get that super smooth effect, and then depending on the situation, the S21 Ultra screen can dial back to as low as 10 hertz to save energy.
The display produces high-quality pictures that are clear and sharp, with vibrant colours and deep blacks. You can adjust the colours very precisely in the settings, and the phone also supports HDR 10 Plus for even better visuals.
The brightness of the screen is outstanding as well. When I tested it, the screen reached a maximum brightness of around 460 nits with the brightness slider, and in auto mode, the phone can boost it up to 1020 nits if you’re using it in bright sunlight.
S-Pen Stylus
One unique featureon the the S21 Ultra I like so much is support for an S Pen stylus, which before you’d only find on a Galaxy Note phone. However, you need to buy it separately, and there is no built-in holder for it on the phone itself, but you could find a case that can do that for you.
You get all of the basic on-screen features that you’d get on a Note phone, including taking notes, drawing, accessing quick shortcuts, and taking advanced screenshots.
Processor
The Galaxy S21 Ultra comes 2 different powerful chips, depending on region: a Snapdragon 888 or an Exynos 2100. Both of these chips can connect to super-fast 5G networks. The one I currently have uses the Exynos chip and has 12GBRAM, although you can get one with up to 16GB of RAM.
Battery Life & Charging
The S21 Ultra has a 5000mAh battery just like the younger brother (S20 Ultra). But the battery life is way better from every indication.
The S21 Ultra scored an excellent endurance rating of 114 hours in my battery life tests. There is support for 25-watt wired charging, which can take it from 0-50% in 30minutes hour. There’s also support for 10-watt wireless charging and reverse wireless charging.
Camera
In the camera department, it comes with a 108-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera with autofocus, and two zoom lenses: a 10-megapixel x10 periscope zoom and a traditional 10-megapixel x3 telephoto zoom.
Both zoom lenses have dual-pixel autofocus and optical image stabilization (OIS). It also has a 40-megapixel quad-Bayer front-facing camera with autofocus, which is an improvement over the 10-megapixel front camera found on the other S21 models.
My Opinion
Just Like I said earlier, the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is almost 3 years old since it was launched, but you can’t deny the fact that it still competing with other Flagships out there.
If you don’t have the money to to buy a brand new Samsung Flagship, going for a UK used Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra would be the best option for you.
The first ever Samsung Flagship I used was a Used phone from UK, I couldn’t afford to buy a brand new one.
But I really enjoyed it because the performance was the same as the brand new. The best way to get Samsung Flagships at cheaper prices is to go for a UK used one.
